I. About the Journal

Journal of Energy and Safety (能源与安全) is a professional journal focusing on the development of the energy and safety sector, combining both academic rigor and practical relevance. It is dedicated to publishing research findings related to safety technologies, management systems, risk prevention and control, policies and regulations, emergency response, as well as new technologies and applications in safety engineering across the entire chain of energy production, storage and transportation, and utilization. The journal aims to build a platform for academic exchange, technological innovation, and experience sharing within the energy and safety industry.

 

II. Scope of Submissions

The journal welcomes academic research in the field of energy and safety, including but not limited to the following areas:

1.Fundamental theories of energy and safety mechanisms

2.Fossil energy exploitation, utilization, and safety assurance

3.Power systems, new energy, and safe operation

4.Energy storage technologies and integrated energy safety

5.Digital energy and intelligent safety prevention and control

6.Synergy of energy conservation, carbon reduction, environmental protection, and safety

7.New technologies and applications in safety engineering

 

III. Manuscript Requirements

1.Manuscripts must be original and unpublished. They must not have been previously published in any publicly distributed print or online publications, either domestically or internationally. Plagiarism, duplicate submissions, data fabrication, and other forms of academic misconduct are strictly prohibited.

2.Manuscript content must be closely aligned with the theme of energy and safety, and must demonstrate academic value, technical reference value, or practical guiding significance, in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

3.The recommended length of the manuscript is 4,000–8,000 words (including figures, tables, and references).

4.If a manuscript involves classified content or confidential corporate data, the authors’ institutions must complete a confidentiality review and provide a confidentiality clearance certificate. Publication of classified information is strictly prohibited.

 

IV. Submission Channels

The journal’s online submission system is now open, and email submissions are also accepted. Authors are requested to prepare a complete English manuscript, editable versions of figures and tables, a cover letter, and other required materials.

Submission Method 1: Authors may log in to the official submission system of Journal of Energy and Safety (https://journal.sourcefount.com/index.php/jes/en/about/submissions), register an account, and upload the electronic version of the manuscript as prompted by the system. The email subject should indicate “Submission+Paper Title”, and attachments including author information and funding project details should be included.

Submission Method 2: Email submission to Energyandsafety@163.com. The email subject should be formatted as “Author Name(s)+Paper Title”. Manuscripts should be submitted in Word document format, with editable versions of figures and tables provided separately. Please place all files in a single folder, compress it into a zip file, and send it as an email attachment along with the main text document. File names should be consistent with the email subject .

 

V. Acceptance and Copyright

1.If the authors do not receive a notification of acceptance, revision, or rejection from the editorial office within two months from the date of submission, they may dispose of the manuscript at their own discretion.

2.The journal holds the legitimate rights to the information network dissemination, reproduction and distribution, compilation, and translation of published manuscripts. Submission of a manuscript constitutes the authors’ acceptance of the journal’s copyright terms.

3.The journal firmly opposes academic misconduct. Manuscripts found to involve academic misconduct upon verification will be rejected, and the authors will be placed on the journal’s blacklist.

 

VI. Special Notes

1.During the inaugural call for papers period, high-quality original research papers will be given priority in review and publication.

2.We welcome senior scholars in the field of energy and safety to curate special thematic columns, and we also encourage early-career researchers to showcase their core findings from their doctoral or postdoctoral work. The journal is committed to providing a platform for intellectual exchange among scholars across different career stages.
