Chinese Treatises on Calligraphy is dedicated to preserving and advancing the cultural legacy of Chinese calligraphy. It delves into Chinese calligraphic ideology, focusing on calligraphic ontology and interdisciplinary frontiers. Adhering to academic integrity, originality and professionalism, it aims to refine the disciplinary and academic discourse systems of calligraphy, building a high-quality exchange platform for global calligraphy scholars. We invite submissions from calligraphy researchers, cultural relics specialists, university calligraphy faculty and calligraphy theorists worldwide.
I. Submission Scope
Original academic papers covering all branches of calligraphy studies:

5. Seal Carving & Epigraphy
6. Calligraphy Education & Disciplinary Development
7. Contemporary Calligraphy Academic Criticism
II. Manuscript Requirements
1.Unpublished original Chinese papers with rigorous arguments and clear logic. Plagiarism, piracy and simultaneous submission are strictly prohibited. Authors bear full responsibility for their work.
2.Word count: 5,000-20,000 (excluding commissioned thematic papers and reviews). All submissions must include Chinese & English titles, abstracts and keywords. Chinese abstract: about 300 words; English abstract shall match its content. 3-5 Chinese & English keywords. Citations, notes and references must comply with standard academic formatting with precise sources.
3. Illustrations: High-definition JPG/PNG files (≥300 dpi), watermark-free. Label each figure with serial number, caption, source and description, aligned with the main text and submitted alongside the manuscript.
4. Author info to be attached at the end: full name, gender, academic title/degree, affiliation, research focus, mailing address, phone number and email. Overseas authors shall note their country/region.

3. Submit manuscripts as Word files. Compress all images into a separate folder as attachments. Name files consistent with the email subject.
IV. Acceptance & Copyright Terms
1. Authors may submit their manuscripts to other publications if no acceptance, revision or rejection notice is received within two months after submission.
2. Upon submission, authors grant the journal rights to online distribution, reproduction, compilation, and translation of the published articles.
3. Any verified academic misconduct will result in immediate rejection and permanent blacklisting by the editorial office.
V. Special Notes
1. High-quality original papers enjoy priority review and publication during the journal’s launch submission period.
2. Senior scholars are welcome to organize themed columns. Young researchers are welcome to submit substantial excerpts from their doctoral dissertations or postdoctoral reports.
